Jenni Rogers, a prominent figure within the Shib Army and co-founder of ShibWomen fondly known as CryptoQueen, will be one of the speakers at the Blockchain Futurist Conference, ETHWomen 2024.
The conference is scheduled for August 13-14, 2024, in Toronto. This marks Shiba Inu’s second consecutive year as a top sponsor. Notably, the 2023 edition of the conference witnessed significant announcements related to Shiba Inu.
In an interview with The Shib magazine, CryptoQueen sheds light on her journey, her excitement for the upcoming events, and Shiba Inu’s ever-expanding presence.
“The community-driven approach and the vision behind SHIB really resonated with me,” says Rogers, highlighting what drew her to the project in its early days (March 2021). Her passion quickly blossomed into active participation, from discussions to project contributions. “The passionate and supportive community made it easy to take a more active role,” she adds.
Rogers now wears many hats within the Shib ecosystem. She co-founded ShibWomen, a project empowering women in blockchain, and actively contributes to various initiatives like the WellyFriends Discord server, Shib CoOp, and the informative Shib Recap podcast. Her dedication extends to projects beyond Shiba Inu as well, with marketing and communication roles for the LADS/Shiba Sequoia Forest Project and PR for the LTD Token by Shib Dream.
Looking forward to ETHToronto, Rogers emphasizes the invaluable connections that blossom at such events. “I’m most excited about connecting with other SHIB community members, crypto enthusiasts, and industry leaders,” she says. “The energy at these events is always inspiring, and I’m looking forward to the innovative discussions and networking opportunities.” She proudly adds, “I’m also excited about sharing ideas as a speaker, a first for me at a conference of this size.”
Rogers paints a picture of remarkable growth when asked about Shiba Inu’s evolution at ETHToronto. “Since I last attended, Shiba Inu’s presence at ETHToronto has grown significantly,” she explains. “Our projects and initiatives have gained more recognition, and we’ve established ourselves as a serious player in the crypto space. It’s exciting to see how much we’ve evolved and the impact we’re making. This year, several of our partner and community projects will be sponsors or community partners, such as K9 Finance, the Shiba Sequoia Forest, and Shib Dream NFTs/The LTD Token, which will bring in more Shib Army engagement and participation.”
Rogers’ potential talk at the conference focuses on a subject close to her heart: empowering women in Web3 through X Spaces. “I’m hoping to speak on the impact of X Spaces in Web3 and especially my mission to empower women to share their voices. Really, I am happy to speak on any subject pertaining to women in blockchain, so the topic may change depending on the conference’s needs.”
This is truly necessary. While only around a third of U.S. crypto investors are women, they make up more than half the people interested in learning about crypto.
With Shibarium’s launch still fresh in everyone’s minds, the question of its presence at ETHToronto was inevitable. “Absolutely, I anticipate a strong Shibarium presence and a lot of interest,” Rogers asserts confidently. “Given the buzz around its potential and the innovative solutions it brings to the table, I’m confident it will attract a lot of attention at ETHToronto.”
ETHToronto promises to be a landmark event for the Shib ecosystem and the Web3 community at large. With passionate figures like CryptoQueen Jenni Rogers leading the charge, the future looks bright for both Shib and the Web3 landscape.
