This question has been haunting the Shib CoOp team for over 1.5 years already. But today we are going to finally put it to rest.

Shib CoOp – The Beginnings
Shib CoOp (/ˈkəʊˌ ɒp/) is a decentralized community of Web3 enthusiasts who banded together to reap the opportunities in rapidly developing technologies of blockchain and metaverse, taking on cooperative projects with the ultimate goal of prospering together, ushering the future which will revolutionize the whole world, and helping the community in the process as all Shibizens should. #WeNotMe is their motto.
Shib CoOp has created utilities spreading Shib the Metaverse to the general public by means of the PLOT tool, Maps and Land Details, which allows users to filter, search and score Metaverse lands and allow for a safer purchasing and minting experience.

#WeNotMe is about focusing on doing good for the entire community, not just one person or project. It is the mindset that led to the creation of Shib CoOp, what keeps it going and what earns the trust of the Shib community. It is the belief that we are stronger together and can achieve unimaginable goals when we combine our skills, knowledge and passions. #WeNotMe focuses on creating benefits for all and providing the tools and resources to strengthen and uplift each other.
The movement quickly gained steam and has since reached far outside of Shib CoOp. We have seen the #WeNotMe movement make a positive impact on the overall Shib community, and many people have joined together to work on projects or support each other with this mindset in place.
It would be amazing to see more Shib communities infusing the #WeNotMe principle into their DNA 🧬 and, as the Shiba State takes form, potentially becoming an official certification granted by the Ethics and Dispute Resolution Council of the Leash Branch to those institutions and projects that fulfil the criteria to be determined by the Shibizens collective.

Shib CoOp – The Present
First Shibarium accomplishment for Shib CoOp was the release of the Colonel Coup OG NFT Collection (COUP), which has a total supply of 194 NFTs. It was a collaborative effort of 25 different community artists embracing the #WeNotMe motto to its fullest. 60% of the mint sales went directly back to the artists, and 20% was used to purchase two ShibYards with the Shib CoOp community to decide what will be built there. 10% became the first burn of $SHIB on Shibarium! And the remaining 10% was used to cover development fees.
The collection was minted out in 3 days just before the reveal. Currently, it resides on the Mantra NFT Marketplace.
In November, Shib CoOp released CoOp Swap, where you can now trade $SHIB/$BONE pair directly on Shibarium, as well as add liquidity to the swap pool to earn $SHIB and $BONE as rewards. It is currently in the beta stage, but it will continue to grow as more trading pairs and liquidity are added. Only within a week upon its launch, the total liquidity in this single swap has reached almost $11k, making it a top 6 DEX by TVL on Shibarium and among top $SHIB/$BONE pairs.
And we wouldn’t be The Shib if we didn’t have a top-secret exclusive for you!
Currently, Shib CoOp is working on the finishing touches to the CoOp Founders NFT Collection that will be released very soon (not out yet!). This collection will be minted on http://shibcoop.io and will boast 10,000 expertly-crafted avatars, unmatched in quality by anything you’ve ever seen before – all with a wide variety of traits. The majority of proceeds from mint sales will be used to purchase and develop a large area of land in Shib: the Metaverse, which will be designated as the CoOp Founders Hub, with each holder having the ability to contribute to the success of the enterprise by leveraging the IP of their NFTs to promote the project and gaining royalties as a result. In addition, each holder will be granted premium access to the hub, complete with 500 total ultra-rare NFTs, consisting of 5 groups of 100 that will each receive special royalties due to their exclusivity.

Shib CoOp – The Future
The aim of Shib CoOp is to become a semi-autonomous, self-governing, one-stop shop providing a spectrum of services that will take care of all the needs of the community in an equitable, efficient and – above all – secure and trustworthy manner.
The future plans of Shib CoOp have been drawn up organically from existing directions of our development as well as experiences that we have acquired along the way. They include (in no particular order) a Launchpad, COUP Token, Jobs Board, NFT Marketplace, Expansions to PLOT tool, such as Custom Details Pages for individual ShibYards, and the crown jewel: the CoOp DAO.
