Several members of the Shib Army are at the forefront in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with their latest appearance at the New York City NFT event (NFT.NYC).
Gracing the occasion were our Shib frens TFW, AIRian, Shib CoOp, and ShibaPunkz, showcasing the growing influence of the SHIB community in the NFT space.
The NFT.NYC 2024 event, held in NYC on April 3-5 at the Javits Center, is a landmark in the digital art world that showcases the transformative power of NFTs. The event brought together artists, investors, and enthusiasts, fostering a vibrant community around blockchain-based art. It highlighted the potential of NFTs in democratizing art ownership and creating new avenues for artists.
The event also addressed challenges such as copyright issues and environmental concerns. NFT.NYC 2024, with its blend of creativity and technology, marked a significant step toward the future of art in the digital age.
We interviewed TFW, Shib CoOp, and ShibaPunkz about their experience at the event.
TFW, short for Tutti Frutti Women, has been a standout project within the SHIB ecosystem since its expansion to Shibarium in January 2024.
Andreia, the creator of TFW, expressed pride in the project’s selection for NFT.NYC and told the The Shib magazine team, “So they selected Tutti Frutti Women to be featured during the NFT.NYC, in the Rooftop Artists Village gallery, and the VIPs and speakers got a preview at VIP & Speaker Reception before the event.”
Moreover, NFT.NYC further amplified TFW’s exposure by producing postcards featuring their NFTs for Christmas and distributing tickets for general admission. The recognition not only validates the efforts of the TFW community but also solidifies SHIB’s presence in the broader NFT landscape.
“NFT.NYC also made postcards for Christmas with our NFT and tickets for general admission,” Andreia told us.
Shib CoOp’s CryptoQueen also shared her experience with us, stating, “NFTs are definitely alive and well in 2024! Participants were more engaged during this year’s event than last (according to attendees).”
“Web3 music NFTs and performances were a highlight of the event. The tokenization of real-world assets was a major theme predicting the future success of NFTs.”
She further elaborated, “If you have the opportunity to attend one of these conferences, even by yourself, it’s well worth it, as everyone is there to meet and connect with like-minded individuals and learn more about the future of NFTs.”
Arcturus, a member of ShibaPunkz, attended the event and shared his enriching experience with us. Precisely, he networked, discovered utilities like MINTangible and Gaudiy, and was inspired by AI-generated artwork.
“I had a lot of fun meeting NFT artists,” Arcturus told The Shib.
“Additionally, I spent my time networking and looking for utilities.”
